Pembrokeshire Camping

Wake up to Amazing

FRESHWATER EAST

Breathtaking Scenery in the Heart of the Pembrokeshire

About Us

Just a little farm on the Edge of West Wales

This picture shows an aerial photo of Upper Portclew Farm Camping in Freshwater East. Close enough to Tenby without all the bustle. Freshwater East Camping is just a pebble throw from Freshwater East beach.

Our campsite in Freshwater East is located in a dedicated field on our Upper Portclew Farm, on the spectacular South Pembrokeshire coast, and just a stone or pebble throw from Freshwater East Beach. Within the boundaries of the Pembrokeshire National Park, with uninterrupted views of Lundy Island and the West Country. We might be biased, but we think we have the best spot for Pembrokeshire camping in the county!

Freshwater East Camping

A wonderful place

Pembrokeshire camping in a stunning location.

We love dogs and well behaved owners

Dogs and children are more than welcome, but please remember that we are a fully working farm with cattle, sheep, and large vehicles. We always make sure that you are safe, but you also need to help us make this happen.

What's the weather forecast like?

Our corner of Pembrokeshire is on a small peninsula and this means that the weather can, and does, change very quickly. Ask a local the weather forecast and they will smile and say "give it 10 minutes". In general, we have more sunlight hours than the rest of the UK, including Cornwall! Click here to see the weather

Your Holiday, YOUR WAY!

Pembrokeshire Camping at its best.

Everyone is different, which is why it's great to stay with us! Our location gives you access to:

  • The Beach at Freshwater East - No Jetskis allowed
  • History (Tenby, Pembroke Castle the birthplace of Henry VII or as we know him Harri Tudur, and much more)
  • Walking or hiking The Wales Coastal Path
  • Pembrokeshire Coast National Park
  • Ironman Wales and the Long Course Weekend Route
  • Swim: Freshwater East is one of the most popular bays for sea swim training.
  • SUP: the west side of the shore is the perfect spot to take your paddleboard.
  • Bike: Just a roll down the hill to Lamphey allows you to pick up the Wales Ironman Route - the toughest IM on the planet.
  • Run: Wales Marathon, bring your kit and try the route out

May you always have shells in your pocket and sand in your shoes.

Forget Camping in Tenby, You Need to be Freshwater East Camping

For us it's an easy answer, it's ours! But not just because it's ours but because we are on the south coast of Pembrokeshire and not open to the full anger of the west coast weather and the Celtic Sea. We are also a two-minute walk from the beach, and just 7 miles from Tenby.

Yes we do, as long as they have well behaved owners!

We are all living with Covid-19 as part of our lives. If you would like to know more about how this affects daily life in Wales then please review the advice here: Covid-19

The speed in the village is 20mph. Please try to keep to this as we have lots of pedestrians and not many pavements.
